Help with straightening hair?

I'm a guy with curly hair. I straighten my hair with an iron every day but it ends up looking like pieces of straw are coming out of my head. The problem is that it looks way too straight (specially the ends) and like it has no form. It ends up looking like if I am wearing a wig basically. So how can I straighten my hair so that it ends up with a nice shape.

Dry blow it first, that way you can give it volume and the flat iron would only give texture. By applying the iron first you are eliminating all volume, hence the scarecrow look.

don't stratighten it at all. Hairdry it straight. It will look natural.

Its a bit tricky untill you get used to it. But get a rounded brush and blowdry it straight with a hairdryer. it will look like it has more body to it so not just dead straight.

MAKE SURE U ARENT PUTTING ANYTHING ELSE IN YOUR HAIR LIKE ANY OTHER HAIR PRODUCTS AND STUFF JUST WASH UR HAIR, TRY BLOW DRYING IT AND THEN STRAIGHTENING IT WITH A CERAMIC FLAT IRON IF IT STILL LOOKS BAD THEN JUST FIND A BRODUCT THAT GIVES UR HAIR MORE FORM TO IT

Have you tried using one of the hair dryers with the brush on the side? They work really well on short hair.
