Are hair cells alive?

Just wondering... Are hair cells alive? So if we give it nutrients and break it into tiny pieces like they do with plants, will they grow? Can hair reproduce?

Are hair cells alive?

Are hair cells alive?

I really like the way you put this question.I think they don't have neurons(nervous cells) that can sense touch. All i know about them is that they give indication to scientists about what we eat. They store data about what food we take regularly.

Reproduction...i don't think so.They are a good conductor to electricity. But they don't contain living cells...i don't really think so.

Oh, but if you DO find a cure for baldness, PLEASE don't keep it to yourself. I certainly need to know about that.

Good luck, Radish.
