i dated a guy once and didn't know he was wearing a wig until, well.... you know and i tried to run my fingers through is hair and he snatched my hand and then slowly took it off himself. i was a huge surprise but a really good one. he looked just as good without it. he was an entertainer and it was a very good wig. it was great because it didn't change the mood at all. lucky us.

but normally yes, and i HATE combovers.

Only if they looked dirty and under cared. I love hair pieces. So many styles to choose form. Yeah I know | could just go to the hair dresser and get my hair done but doing my own hair, takes so much time and effort.

For the girls and ladies a wig can be a god send as it hides hair loss problems and the better ones are hard to detect. Wigs for men only serve to show the vanity of the wearer. In this life baldness is an accepted progression for men and to try and hide it is a silly thing to do. The wigs are usually easily recognised for what they are and they do look all wrong. A friend of mine had a wig styled in a way more suited to a 20 year old. He wore it and the replacements for about 30 years. At 60 he looked ridiculous.

Only if they are made of real animal hair, advertised has giving the very natural look, beautiful highlights, and depth of colour.

Now, that is my opinion.

The opinion of the sales person is, I look terrible in wigs and hairpieces. So the plastic ones, are out too.

I have a cousin who HAS to wear a wig she only has bought Real Hair ones and boy they do look fantastic.

They look so natural and suit her really well, I think if I ever need to I would definitely go for a real one.

I do understand they are very very expensive.

I bought a cheap blonde one in the 70s and it was so dry to the touch but it was fun as well

Some of the ones I have seen men wearing do.

They can look OK when the man is nicely dressed up, but in casual clothing on a breezy day the hair looks too perfect.

well I have seen some that looked real-but they are high dollar-I wouldn't use them though. I know one guy he said he went out with this girl that had like those dread lock thingys-can't think of the word-but anyhow he said that it was made from horse hair and her hair smelt like a Horse's A**. It almost killed me when he said it. He said he would never go out with another women who had -Oh! Extensions I think that's what it was.
