I really want to cut my hair in the "scene" look, and I was goign to go today, but my mom stupidly didn't bring me.

Please don't try yourself. It's hard to cut your own hair no matter how good you are! It is just impossible to reach certain spots on your own head, you know? Just be patient and wait until your mom can take you. I promise you will be glad you did!!

Really, the scene look is pretty impossible to "mess up" so to say, since there isn't necessarily one ideal hairstyle. If you're doing something with bangs, that's pretty tricky, I'd get someone else to do it. Otherwise, if you're just trying to get that choppy layered look, it doesn't seem too tough.

I wouldn't do it....my sister cut her own hair once and she ended up with a bald spot on her head....and it wasn't very attractive looking either......but it was pretty funny....b/c she had to do a combover on the front like a balding old man!
