I want to dye my hair blonde?

I have kinda darkish brown hair, with blonde highlights. But i want straight blonde hair. With like those thin pieces of brown highlights in them. Ive dyed my hair before, but never actually went to the hairdresser. If I go to the hairdresser they would be able to do that right? Because someone told me since my hair is sorta dark brown that they wouldn't be able to :/

they could SO do that...its really not a hard process...just make sure to check with a few salons BEFORE you make your decision. pick the salon that you want and go get it done!! i like the color idea...very rad :)

I don't think it's wise to do it all in one sitting - they may want you to do it in two sessions

You need to see the hairdresser to find out. Salons not only use different products individually, but they also need to see your hair before they can tell you what they can do. If they don't consult with you first, they aren't giving you the best proffessional opinion that they can. I would have to say that I would insist seeing you first based on what you have stated here.

they will be able to do it. its not that hard, they just have to bleach your hair first probably, some dressers wont bleach hair because it can be a pain but im sure some will also. if not, you can do it yourself, but i wouldnt do anything as drastic as blonde myself, id do black before blonde lol.

Salon products are usually only left on for about 20 min and depending on what product line the salon uses may only lift you three or four levels. Depending on how dark your hair is and how light you are wanting to go, it may work out to your advantage. The other thing I would be concerned with is the upkeep and regrowth. Are you willing to go back to the salon every 6 to 8 weeks to do a retouch? Sounds like your wanting more blonde than brown, if so your blonde is going to grow out and leave you with a hard line every month and you will need to have it touched up.

yeah they'll be able to do it, it might ruin your hair though b/c she'll prolly have to use bleach!! but it will be worth it b/c blondes rock!

just tell them to dye you hair blonde and then, leave some of your dark brown hair out...however you want it to be
