How do you straighten your hair with a straightening iron?

Do you straighten it in chunks? Or little pieces of hair? How do you straighten your hair?

I tie up my hair in sections, take the top part of the hair and clip it up, then straighten the under layers bit by bit, after doing that, let down more of your hair until all of it is straight.

It takes a bit longer, but I find that it lasts longer than doing it all at once.

Good Luck

I take about an inch wide section and start at the top and slowwwwwwlllllyyyy move down and go over a section again if it's not perfectly straight.

Start by pulling up all of the top portion of your hair, leaving the bottom portion down. Then spray a heat protecting product like CHI flat iron spray over all of the hair that is down. Then take little sections of hair, no more than an inch wide and run a brush or comb through it once to make sure there are no knotted pieces. Then take your flat iron (hopefully you have one with ceramic plates like CHI or FHI as these are best for your hair), and clamp it together at the top of the small section of hair and slowly glide it down the length of your hair. Repeat this until all the hair that is down is straight. Then take down another bit of hair and start spraying, combing, and straightening. Do this until you have all of your hair straight.

Be sure to use some some of heat protectant. This keeps your hair from getting "fried" and drying out. Plus it helps to hold your style.

Also, as a curly headed girl myself (I straighten my hair almost every day), I also reccommend that you check out this site : http://www.naturallycurly.com - it has all kinds of info for dealing with curly hair (styling, products, tips).

Well section the hair in Sm section, never go over the length of the comb and what is the most important to remember is that the teeth is not what really straightens the hair it's the back of the comb. It's all in the wrist work.

Hold hair, put comb teeth to hold strands in place, press comb back against hair- Nice Job

Section off your hair into six sections. always start from the back and get a small section and start at the roots and slowly go down to the tips ends of your hair. It will be better if you use some kind of moisturizer on your hair before using heat.
