I feel your situation girl, my hair is the same way. What I did, was I cut off all my dead ends (it ended up being like, 4-6 inches shorter) so, I got clip in extensions :)

I live in Canada so I'm not really sure where you could find some, but ask around and I'm sure there will be some near you :)

Cut it above the breaks, condition the crap out of it.

Have you tried a conditoning hair mask? Maybe that would help. They sell them at Sally's Beauty Supply. I tried it ,and it worked wonders.

How did your hair get so fried? Do you use any oil on it? I use Paul Mitchell skinny serum. If it really is beyond repair, then I guess your only option is to cut it. You will probably feel relieved that your hair can be healthy again.

First you should get your hair trimmed and def. stop straightening or blow drying it unless you have some kind of protective product on it. I use chi iron guard and silk therapy. Def. dont highlight or dye it for at least 3 months. Finally take any of the tips your hair dresser gives you.

My mom is in the same boat as you and desperately wants long hair, but it just breaks too easily! She's been using this great protein spray and also a moisture spray leave-in from Biolage. It really seems to be helping. You can get them from most beauty salons and drug stores (about 12 dollars each). If you like the way you look with shorter hair, go for it and let your hair get really healthy. If you're looking for a hair do, google images of Jessica Simpson with her shorter hair style and Kristen Calvari's shorter cut. They are so cute and trendy. But don't worry and let it get you down. It's just hair. This may be the perfect oppertunity to get a shorter style that highlights other beautiful parts of you like your eyes or cheekbones. Good luck!

get it trimmed and it will go back to normal...

Why not go and try a wig first before you cut it just to see if you like your hair short. Then if your ok with it you cut it then you need to use a good shampoo and conditioner that won't hold your hair down and will keep it hydrated I use Dove shampoo and conditioner its good and good for your hair. Also you might want to use a nice leave in conditioner I use Garnier Fructis and that should help you. Good Luck

would you like fries with that?

would go and get my ends trimmed regularly ...then I would do some at home deep conditioning. You can go to Sally's Beauty Supply and get a good "deep" conditioner you can either get it in packs or a jar of it ...i would recommend getting a jar ..and its not really expensive and get a pack of processing caps. Then I would wash my hair then apply a generous amount of conditioner and then put on a processing cap then take a thin damp towel and microwave it for 35-45 seconds and wrap it around your hair. I would leave this on for an hour or longer if you want just remember to keep reheating the towel. Then when you are done rinse really well and at the end of the rinse turn the water to cold and rinse really quick in just cold water. I would do this two or three times a week if time will allow it . Drink lots of water and try to eat healthy and remember to get your hair trimmed and try and let your hair air dry whenever you can and your hair will start to get healthy again. And when your ready you can still use your flat iron and things just remember to do a deep conditioning at least once a week even once your hair gets healthy.....

Hope this was helpful ~~

Good Luck ~~

You can good a good deep conditioning treatment or jar at Sally's and it isn't expensive and make sure you ask the clerk there that it is a color safe product, i feel certain it will be but you never know. I try alot of the home remedies and most of them work.....just be careful if you try them because a few of them did lightened my color ... :(

my hair was starting to get pretty dry and bad there for a bit, and my hair lady told me to only wash it once a day (i was washing it like twice every day.. not like ocd but because i work out at night) and to, once a week get a really intensive conditioner and after the shower, when the bathroom is all steamy fill the bathtub with real hot water and chill for like 10 minutes with this super thick conditioner and then rinse it out then run my hair thru the cold water. and when youre in the tub, braid your hair and keep it out of the water.

seriously, my hair rocks now.

You really do need to cut it. It's the only way to get rid of split ends and such and then you can work on reconditioning it.

I've heard of a method of washing hair with conditioner only that supposedly works really well. It might work for you. You have to use a TON of conditioner and scritch it into your scalp for a long time until it lathers a little bit and then wash it out. The more conditioner I use on my hair, the healthier it looks and feels so I'm pretty sure this is a good way to repair it.

Beat an egg in a cup of milk. When it foams, rub it into the scalp.Leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse the hair thoroughly with water.Carry out this routine twice a week for excellent results for dry damaged hair. Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.
