Does darkening your hair damage it?

Will it damage my hair if I were to dye a piece of my hair every 2 weeks? I normally bleach my hair which I know damages it so I didn't want to do anything that would damage it too much... I put a red piece in my hair and I wanted to keep it but it's completely faded after 2 weeks. Does it damage your hair to darken it? Or does that just make no difference whatsoever?

all kinds of dye is chemical in that sense. unless u use henna dye for ur hair. so yes i would say it would still damage ur hair, but not as severely as bleach.

expect any color that isn't natural to fade quickly.
