Hair highlights question?

i got blonde high lights about a month or 2 ago for the first time and it seems to not be as light as it was. i have light brown hair and ive looked at my pictures from when i first had it done and my hair was a lot lighter?

how long do highlights last?

and in some pieces of my hair close to the roots i can see like a couple of dots about half an inch big close to my roots...

does everybodys do like that?

i think i might have got a new girl that did my hair...

i know its hard to not get dye on your hair, but i was just wondering if this happend to any one else because i had to pay a lot for it

It sounds like your bleach "bled" causing the "dots" near your scalp.

Irregardless whether your stylist was a rookie or not, if she is a professional she should be willing to create the look you were asking for. Call her and let her know that you appreciate her efforts but are not completely happy with the results and when can you be brought back in for her to finish the work? I never feel that the "job" is done until the client and I are both happy with the product.

You have to get it redone because otherwise your highlights grow into your hair and blend in too much. Then when you do things like go swimming, the pool/sun/whatever bleaches the dark part of your hair out, and then it almost matches the faded lighter part.
