I want to get this particular hair cut, but I need some help when it comes to maintenance etc...?

Okay, basically I have long brown wavy ish hair but I have ALOT of it %26amp; its not styled in any particular way right now. This is a picture of it: http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z192/... I'm the girl on the left. Anyway, I wanna get this hair cut: http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y16/cur... Best plan is to go to a salon, I know that much, but I have a few questions. With my hair type, am I gonna have to do alot of maintaining when I get up in the morning, like am I gonna have to use alot of product? I know I have to thin out my hair because I have alot of it, and I have to straighten my bangs and the tips, which is easy, but as for the little pieces of wavy hair on the top, am I gonna wake up and it'll be that way, or will I have to work on it? Like I'm wondering if it'll be the kind of thing where if I'm lazy in the morning, I can just leave it natural and it'll look good... Thank you :)

You will have to straigten it every morning, and style it to get those looks your going for! a lot of work I must say... have you ever considerd getting your hair permatley starigtend. Theres not many ways to style curly hair, if you want it staright, do it permatley, it will keep it in a lot better shape then having to di it everyday....

if you are not going to wash it every day then straightening it on top should last just fine and all you should have to do is maybe scrunch the ends in the morning. very little maintenance and if it looks bad you can always put it up that day. hope this helps
