Getting hair braided in a african salon question..?

I am wondering, i am a male ... and if i wanted to get cornrows i remember that they put weave pieces on my friends hair, can i ask them not too? and why do they do that? thanks

It may have depended on how much hair your friend had. They probably did it to make the cornrows look fuller. You can ask them not to put it in yours, it shouldn't be a problem.

If the hair is too short, they will add hair to it, to catch the braid better and make it tighter, and so that it stays braided longer. You can ask them not to add the hair, its your money, it will smell bad faster, all FAKE hair , yes ALL FAKE HAIR smells really bad once it gets wet, esp in braids, I used to braid hair, it will itch a lot too, good luck

fake hair does not smell bad when it gets wet...it does that when you don't take care of it. A hair stylist will do your hair however you want. If you do not want weave braided into your hair then just say so. They cannot make you add hair in if you do not want to, you're paying them! They may have added hair to your friend to make it longer or if he has really fine hair it could have been to make it last longer and catch better.
