How can I curl my hair?

My hair is almost impossible to curl. Seriously, as soon as I get one piece of hair curled and move on to the next, my 1st piece is flat again. My hair never stays curly for more than an hour. What's your advice? I want to try curlers, but I have no idea how to use them. What size should I get, if my hair is a little bit longer than shoulder length? How long do you keep them in for? Should you sleep with them in? Someone please give me some advice!

ok hun. um... first off are you using a hot curling iron or are you using some of the old fashion 'curl your hair and leave them in all night' rollers. for the hot culers, the size depends on how big or how small you want the curl. My hair is about the same length and i use a 1 1/2 inch curling iron and because i like for my hair to keep the bend throught the next two or three days, i leave it in for about 20-40 seconds (i count). and when i do the overnight thing, i curl my hair with the hot ones first and then i roll them up with the rollers and hold them in place with some hair pins. But from what your saying that your hair wont stay curled for more than an hour, have you tried using some mega hold hair spray or hair gel? if that doesnt work try using a at home hair relaxer to curl it. the only thing with that is your whole head will be curly. I have the same problem. My friend has veeery thin and straight hair and one day I saw her with perfect curls so I asked her what she did, she uses Paul Mitchell spray to hold i the curls. It works amazingly, maybe you should try it! Hope everything works out well!

I have the same problem... If you purchase a Salon curling iron they cost more but they get way hotter than a regular one and the curls stay in... check ebay for a salon curling iron,, they work great...

L'oreal hot curl spray is quite good, although i find its just as good to lift the strands of hair that ur curling and giving them a spray down with ordinary hairspray. Also if u have straighteners which aren't too fat, you could try using those as there usually a pretty decent heat. It's best to start at the top of the section of hair that your going to curl and twist your way down it if your going to use straighteners!

UHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i hate it when a hot curler doesn't curl your hair. Curlers come in all different sizes in one package, because of course they know your hair isn't going to be the same size on some sections. go to wal-mart by the hair stuff and they have packages of different colors. you take a curler and you put it on the end of your hair and roll up, if you roll it under, its a little bit harder for me, but you can try either way to see which is easiest for you. you can wash your hair, put some stuff in it, then put the curlers in, make sure you bobby pin them to your hair if they dont have attachments come with it. yes you can sleep in them if you want to. if your in a hurry or dont feel like washin your hair, spray hair spray on a section of your hair and pin a curler in it, and leave it in there for 10 minutes. = ]鈾?br> %26gt;(炉`v麓炉)

i used to try with curling irons and rollers, but neither worked, and it always took loads of time, and gave me crap fake looking curls that lasted about 3 seconds.

if you like big wavey curls, (a bit like this http://www.e-wig.info/images/hothair/js-... ) i find the best way to curl my hair is this, it lasts all day and it takes me less time than blowdrying my hair so its all straight and nice lol.

wash it, and blow dry the fringe/side fringe area (if you have one) and also blow dry th roots upside down so tou have lenty of volume to work with. roughly blowdry the rest, you dont ned 2 do a 'blow out', just make it dry!

while the hairs still warm, run curling mousse down the mid lengths to the ends. put it in 1 or 2 low buns at the nape of the neck, by tightly twisting and fastening with a hairband. blast the buns with a hair dryer.

leave to 'set' while you do your make up etc

remove buns and gently seperate, you should have big waves/curls at this point. use some more mousse.

its really windy and rainy at the moment where i live, so i tend to put my hair in a low bun again, and blast it with hot air agen. i wear this wile im on my way to school, and take it out at school. my hair goes into perfect wavey curls that last all day.
