my hair is all oine length, bt i have a lot of split ends. and my hair is all broken(pieces of hair is snapped) from near my ear down to the bottom. if i had my hair layered would this get rid of most of the split ends and snapped hair stands?please let me know

The only way I know to get rid of split ends is to cut them off. If you have thicker hair, a layered look could be very pretty. Once you get the ends cut off, try to use a deep conditioner once a week and limit use of hair dryers/curling irons to prevent split ends in the future.
