Eating hair?

i was wondering if you swallowed a piece of hair that was in your food, would it cause any problems and does it digest? Not that it happened to me, but you never know these things happen and you dont know about it.

We unknowingly eat hair all the time. It's perfectly common, and you probably wont get sick or anything. Now of course, if the hair had a bunch of bacteria or germs you would get sick.. but that goes for anything.

The hair would pass harmlessly through the digestive system without any delay. You shouldn't eat a lot of hair at one time though, it may not digest.

i doesent hurt when u eat it cuz there was a peice of hair in my food once and it dident hurt at laest i dident feel it

there is an illness out there where people pull out their hair and eat it. i am quite sure you would not die ....you might cough up a fur ball though

People who suffer from the illness of eating hair often die of a result of the in-ability of their stomach to digest the food.
