my curls kind of look like hers. except I don't have bangs, my hair is brown, and a little bit shorter. the problem with my hair is: that when i scrunch my hair some of the pieces just become frizz, so I want a new hairstyle DESPERATELY! i dony want to gel my hair back into a ponytail anymore. Please give me some pretty hairstyles for my impossible hair! I will really REALLY appreciate it. THANKS!!

What kind of hairstyles could I do with my hair? well, i have the SAME hair as you..... frizzy, shorter but not too short (to the shoulder) brown and curly.... and i do sum things to it to make it look fabu! well, wat kind of shampoo and contitioner do you use? i would reccommend Sunsilk anti frizz shampoo and conditioner (thats what i use and it makes my hair less frizzy) also, use a fair amount of conditioner becuz u have thicker curlier hair. when you get out of the shower, DO NOT TOWEL DRY YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!!!! instead, squeeze out your hair and then use a paper towel, not a real towel, because real towels make your hair sooo much frizzier.dry your hair with the paper towel just so it is not dripping soaking wet. then use a wide comb to comb your hair. START FROM BOTTOM TO TOP. when you are done with that, put in Vo5 curvasious curls mousse (it is a fat, red metal bottle thing) put a generous amount on your palm, then rub it together with your hands and work it into your hair.... scrunch up your hair and let it air dry.... DO NOT USE A REAL HAIR DRIER unless you are using a diffuser, but air drying your hair gives you the least frizz, so that is what i would reccomend you do.... That will give you frizz free hair...
I would NOT reccommend straightening your hair because the more you straighten it, the less curlier your hair gets..
NO offense to anyone else reading this, but straight hair isnt that special, almost evry1 has it and you can do alot to it but it isnt as pretty as curly hair.... once your hair is frizz free, you will rlly appreciate it like i do

Go for the straight hair look get your hair layered and thinned out so its manage able and get a hair straightener they have some now that dont damage your hair as bad as the older straighteners. I heard that the straightener with the metal plates do more damage

I bought a CHI hair staightener. They are about 100.00 bucks or so.. make sure you use hair syrum....... start from the bottom and work your way up to the front.
Somtimes blow drying it first helps, yes it will be FRIZZY after blow drying it, but it makes it so much easier to straighten.

Just a simple bun (like a donut) on the side of your hair (that's cute and fast). Or you could try to straighten it all out then put rollers in it and just wear it curly (that's fashionable). You may need to 'practice' this, when you are not 'going out' and have the time to 'play' with your hair, but try a bun ... you may use a 'hair band for pony tails' but only a 'larger one' ... put it at the 'low back' first, then fold your hair up, and do it again (same band), then fold it down, and 'secure' the band and 'fluff' your hair so it covers the band. Or you can try 'rolling it' to one side, LOOSELY, and use a 'scissor-comb' to hold it, or 'stab through' it rolled at the top with two pretty chopsticks ... they'll not hold 'tight' but the 'look' is wonderful, and if it starts to come down (if it's long enough, it should stay up better) you can just 'tighten it' and put the sticks through again. Try getting together with a girlfriend who also wants to 'change up' her hairstyle and spend a whole day on 'trying out hair fashions' and write down the ones you really like that are 'easy' to do ... and have a WONDERFUL day 'playing' ... this kind of 'play' is both fun and 'extremely important' because you're going to be 'professional' and need nice hairstyles to go with your 'adulthood' ...
What kind of hairstyles could I do with my hair? Firstly I would suggest getting it thinned toward the ends, that way it won't be quite so poofy. Also, getting it done in layers can take a lot of excess hair out of the way so it won't be so thick. I would also suggest a frizz-ease serum or treatment and using a diffuser when you dry it. Also, get some sort of professional shampoo and conditioner especially for curly hair.
If that doesn't help, you do have the option of chemically straightening it!

You can also buy really good products at a salon, they might be a little more pricey than a store, but they work without the frizz. I had stuff to scrunch my hair from the store and my daughter, a cosmetologist gave me a product called Silk Infusion, it's more like a oil, or heating oil, but works great with a small amount rubbed between hands and smoothed through hair then scrunched!

I have very curly hair and have to make sure that I coat every piece of hair with mouse otherwise parts look frizzy. I use John Freida's Frizzies product line. It really does wonders for my frizz. As far as mouse I prefer Dove because no matter how much a Coat my hair, it still feels soft and not hard.
What kind of hairstyles could I do with my hair? I have the exact same hair by your description, what I do is use some gloss spray to tame any of the frizz after I scrunch it. Don't use to much though otherwise it will look greasy. Also, no blow drying it will just make the hair more frizzy and dry. Have you tried to straighten it to see what it looks like? If you do straighten it use a heat insulator to protect your hair from heat damage. We are the lucky ones people say, we can straighten or let it go curly, harder to get straight hair to go curly and stay that way. Good luck. I just wanted to comment on the straightening, my hair has never stayed straight after being washed again it is always just as curly.
